South Africa
Introduction
Located at the southern tip of Africa with a coastline of over 2, 500 kilometers, South Africa is a country of great diversity in culture, language and wildlife. South African has cultural origins from Europe, Asia and a multiracial ancestry.
The interior geography of South Africa is vast, flat with a sparsely populated scrub-land. Towards the North, the altitude drops and an area of mixed dry forest is evident with an abundance of wildlife. Wildlife includes lions, leopards, rhinos, hyenas, hippos, giraffes and an extensive amount more. The temperature in South Africa is also very diverse due to its location where the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean meet, due to the average elevation, and due to it's location on the milder southern hemisphere. South Africa is also ranked 6th out of the world's 17 mega diverse countries.
